Ingredients
  

  • clear glass or plastic ball ornaments
  • acrylic paints deep blues, purples, black, and white
  • fine glitter silver or iridescent colors
  • small funnel or paint droppers
  • toothpick or thin brush for swirling
  • glow-in-the-dark paint optional, for added effect
  • ribbon for hanging

Method
 

  1. Remove the ornament cap and set it aside. Ensure the inside of the ornament is clean and dry.
  2. Using a small funnel or dropper, add a few drops of deep blue acrylic paint into the ornament. Add layers of purple and black paint to resemble swirling nebulae.
  3. Gently twirl the ornament to blend the colors. For more control, use a toothpick or thin brush to swirl the paint.
  4. Sprinkle in a small amount of fine glitter to represent stars and galaxies.
  5. Turn the ornament upside down and allow excess paint to drip out. Let it dry completely.
  6. Optional: Add small dots of white or glow-in-the-dark paint to mimic shining stars.
  7. Replace the ornament cap, tie a decorative ribbon, and hang your cosmic creation.

Notes

These ornaments make perfect gifts or dreamy tree decorations. Try different color combinations like teal and silver for a frozen galaxy look. Let paint dry thoroughly to prevent smudging.
