This Dump and Bake Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is the perfect weeknight dinner, combining seared chicken, creamy garlic parmesan sauce, and tender penne pasta—all baked in one dish for maximum flavor and minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Pasta and Sauce:
12 ounces penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Transfer seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest 5 minutes, then slice.

While chicken bakes, prepare pasta: Cook penne according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté 1 minute.

Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, then add grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until sauce thickens.

Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using.

Add pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic parmesan sauce.

Notes
For a one-dish option, skip pre-searing the chicken and bake everything covered for 35–40 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 more minutes.
