Ingredients
4 cups filtered water
3 black or green tea bags
1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
1 cup fresh fruit (e.g., sliced peaches, strawberries, citrus, or berries)
½ lemon or lime, thinly sliced
6–8 fresh mint leaves (optional)
Ice cubes
Additional water or sparkling water to dilute, if desired
Instructions
-
Boil 4 cups of water and pour over tea bags in a heat-safe container. Steep for 5–7 minutes depending on tea strength preference.
-
Remove tea bags and stir in honey or sweetener if using. Let cool to room temperature.
-
In a large pitcher, add sliced fruit, citrus, and mint leaves.
-
Pour the cooled tea over the fruit mixture. Stir gently.
-
Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours to allow flavors to infuse.
-
Serve over ice, optionally topping off with sparkling water for a fizzy finish.
Notes
-
Try flavor combos like: peach + basil, strawberry + mint, orange + rosemary.
-
For stronger fruit flavor, lightly muddle the fruit before adding tea.
-
Use herbal teas like hibiscus or chamomile for a caffeine-free version.
-
Make it ahead—flavor deepens as it chills!
