Description

A flaky, buttery pastry filled with sweet almond cream, topped with sliced almonds and powdered sugar. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed 
  • 1/2 cup almond flour 
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar 
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract 
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds 
  • 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash) 
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Almond Filling – In a bowl, mix almond flour, sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and almond extract until smooth.
2️⃣ Prepare the Pastry – Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Spread the almond filling evenly over the center.
3️⃣ Fold & Shape – Fold the pastry over the filling, sealing the edges. Brush with egg wash (milk + egg).
4️⃣ Top & Bake – Sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
5️⃣ Cool & Serve – Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
