Description
This easy sandwich dressing is tangy, slightly sweet, and packed with bold, balanced flavors. It takes any ordinary sandwich from basic to bistro-level without needing special tools or rare ingredients.
Ingredients
⅓ cup olive oil (extra virgin preferred, but any kind works)
¼ cup red wine vinegar (or apple cider/white wine vinegar)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Optional: Pinch of red pepper flakes
Optional: Tiny clove of minced garlic
Instructions
-
Add all ingredients to a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
-
Shake vigorously until well combined (or whisk in a bowl if preferred).
-
Taste and adjust salt or sweetness as desired.
-
Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add horseradish or hot sauce.
For a creamier dressing, stir in a tablespoon of mayo or Greek yogurt.
If you’re out of vinegar, lemon juice offers a fresh alternative.
Use this dressing on sandwiches, wraps, or even as a marinade for chicken.
