Description

Celebrate autumn with this cozy Maple-Glazed Salmon with Sage—a dish that brings together the sweet warmth of maple syrup, the earthy aroma of sage, and the comforting roast of Brussels sprouts and cranberries. Perfect for weeknight dinners or seasonal gatherings, this simple yet elegant meal captures the essence of fall on a single sheet pan.

Ingredients

Scale

4 salmon fillets

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

Salt and pepper, to taste

A handful of fresh sage leaves

1 cup Brussels sprouts, halved

1/2 cup fresh cranberries

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).

  • Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then brush each one generously with maple syrup.

  • In a bowl, toss halved Brussels sprouts and cranberries with olive oil. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.

  • Place the salmon fillets on top of the vegetables and scatter sage leaves around.

  • Roast for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the vegetables are tender.

  • Serve warm, spooning vegetables and sage alongside each fillet for a hearty autumn meal.

Notes

Swap Brussels sprouts with butternut squash or sweet potatoes for variety.

Add a pinch of chili flakes to the maple glaze for a sweet-spicy kick.

For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the maple syrup for 15 minutes before roasting.
