Description
This Sticky Beef & Noodles recipe is a quick and satisfying one-pan dinner perfect for busy weeknights. Tender strips of beef are stir-fried with crisp veggies and tossed in a sweet and savory sauce that clings beautifully to soft noodles. Minimal cleanup, maximum flavor!
Ingredients
For the stir fry:
1 tbsp vegetable oil
400g beef (stir-fry strips, flank, or rump – sliced thinly against the grain)
1 small head of broccoli, cut into florets
150g green beans or sugar snap peas
250g dried egg noodles (or straight-to-wok noodles)
For the sticky sauce:
4 tbsp dark soy sauce (reduced sodium if preferred)
4 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp grated ginger (fresh or jarred)
To garnish (optional):
3 spring onions, thinly sliced
Sesame seeds or chili flakes
Instructions

In a small bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients and set aside.

Place the dried noodles in a bowl, cover with boiling water, and top with a plate. Soak for about 5 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large nonstick frying pan or wok over high heat. Add the beef strips and cook for 4–5 minutes, until browned and just cooked through.

Add the broccoli and green beans (or sugar snap peas) to the pan. Stir-fry for another 4–5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still vibrant.

Drain the noodles and add them to the pan along with the sauce. Stir everything together until well coated and heated through, about 2 minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with spring onions and optional sesame seeds or chili flakes.
Notes
For a shortcut, use pre-cooked straight-to-wok noodles.
Swap green beans for bell peppers or carrots for variety.
Add a splash of chili oil for a spicier version.
